- Journal about a highlight for you.
My highlight of the Money With A Mission weekend… To name one specific moment is very difficult, so I would say that my biggest highlight is the fact that my life changed forever. I am so aware of what Ps John said; that with revelation God requires obedience. I cannot behave ignorantly with the revelation that I have received this weekend, I have to be obedient to it. It’s not a hard thing to do, I just say “Yes, Lord, tell me what to do…” And He will!
To be honest, if I had to pick a specific thing that was a big highlight for me (other than the above) then I would say that seeing Jess was a highlight.
Jess was in Joburg this last week, she went and got her wisdoms out. She came through to Witbank on Saturday morning with my parents. We spent a whole week apart, and that is the longest we have been apart since Jess moved in with me in 2021! I really was fine by myself, but it’s so much better when she is around! So, yes, seeing Jess was also a highlight of the weekend!
- How has your mindset about money changed?
I think more than my mindset about money has changed – my mindset about all seed and my whole life has changed. I know, because I have been taught my Ps John and Ps Sharon, that my first seeds are word seeds… the fruit of my lips is the first seed that I sow and I see that harvest in my life and around me. More than that though, now after the weekend, I can recognise EVERYTHING as seed.
God says in Deuteronomy that He has set life and death before me and He encourages me to choose life; His Life! I can do that with all the choices I make in my life – even my choice is a seed that will speak in my life. My energy, my time, my heart condition, my work, my words, my things and my finances are all seed. It is my choice whether I sow these seeds for life or for death… Therefore choose LIFE!
If I decide to live my life according to my own will and my own desires and I do not submit to the will and desire that the Lord has for me then I cannot expect a harvest of life because I am sowing to self (death). But when I sow His Words, inquire for what His will is and use my money according to His mission for my life; then I am choose His Life!
I really praise God for this deeper revelation. He is urging me to come up higher in my life, to make better choices and life more for Him; He is asking me to be obedient so that He can pull more of Babylon out of me! I say yes, Lord! This seed is eternal, my seed has a voice and it is speaking further than my future, it is speaking into my eternity with Him!
